ACRE, the Africa outreach initiative of Community Renewal International, is a U.S. 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization renewing lives by rebuilding caring relationships that restore healthy communities.

Working with variety of partners from all walks of life, ACRE renews the spirit of service, of compassion and cooperation in every segment of African communities.

Baletet ( Cameroon) Friendship House Christmas Party

Caring partners in Cameroon  joined with African Community Renewal Friendship House  to bring joy to the village

Squeals of delight came from our Friendship Houses during the 2009 Christmas parties, as friends of community Renewal, service groups, businesses and other caring partners teamed with ACRE to bring a touch of joy to children in  Baletet village. Some children were receiving a Christmas gift for the first time in their life. Jean Nkengsa    , the coordinator for Cameroon of ACRE said this was made possible thanks to the generosity of friends in Yaounde and Douala who understood the significance of bringing a smile to the face of a child in remote villages. About 475 items were collected for distribution.
